Crumble with Maple Vanilla Cream

How good would this Crumble with Maple Vanilla Cream be whilst you are snuggled up on the sofa watching your favourite show!
Ingredients
- 1½ cups gourmet mixed fruit
- 4 Granny Smith apples, peeled
- ¼ cup CSR Caster Sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ¾ cup water
- 125g cutter, melted
- ¾ cup White Wings Plain Flour
- ¾ cup almond meal
- 1 cup rolled oats
- ¾ cup CSR Brown Sugar
- 1tsp vanilla bean paste
Cream:
- 300ml pouring cream
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- ½ tsp vanilla bean paste
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C. Place mixed fruit, apple, caster sugar, cinnamon and water into a saucepan. Bring to the boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10mins or until apple is soft.
- In a separate bowl mix flour, almond meal, brown sugar and oats together. Stir in butter and vanilla and mix until combined.
- Place fruit mixture into a 20cm oven proof pie dish and top with the crumble mixture. Bake for 15mins.
- Combine cream, maple syrup, vanilla and cinnamon in a jug. Serve with the warm Christmas fruit crumble.
