Sticky Marinated Chicken

Using Muscovado Sugar, this delectable Sticky Marinated Chicken is finger-licking good. During summer, opt to cook on the barbeque instead of in the oven and we sure our Sticky Marinated Chicken will be a family favourite.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup CSR Muscovado Sugar
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tbsp finely grated ginger
  • 1kg chicken drummettes
  • Sesame seeds, for serving
  • Spring onions, for serving

Method

  1. Pre-heat oven to 160°C fan-forced.
  2. Combine sugar, soy, balsamic vinegar, honey, garlic and ginger in a large bowl. Add chicken pieces and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 20 mins.
  3. Arrange chicken pieces in a lined baking dish and tip half of the marinade over chicken. Bake for 25 mins, turning once during cooking time.
  4. Place remaining marinade in a saucepan, bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer until reduced and thickened.
  5. Serve chicken drizzled with reduced marinade and sprinkled with sesame seeds and spring onions
